Write for us
Creatives Stage Review welcomes thoughtful proposals about the making of live performance. Send pitches through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to understand the idea and the reader it would serve.
What we welcome
We are interested in clear, original pieces about creative ideas, writing, rehearsal, staging and audience experience. A useful contribution might explain a process, compare two approaches, unpack a common misconception or offer a focused way to prepare for a particular creative task.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the working title or central question, the main point you want to make and why it would matter to our readers. Include a brief outline and any relevant experience or sources you plan to draw on. Keep the proposal focused; a broad subject becomes more useful when it centres on one decision or problem.
How to send it
Submit your proposal through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please send a pitch rather than an unsolicited full article. We cannot promise publication, and we will not present a contributor as having credentials or experience they have not supplied.
Make the choices visible.
A performance is built from many decisions, large and small. Looking closely at them can make the creative process easier to understand and use.
